Men's Walking Football
The season has concluded since it’s played in the summer and the arthritis sets in by November! Hill's over 50s Reserves won Div 3 of the Essex League with three scoreless draws then beating title rivals Bexley in the decider.
In a great week for the Beacon Hill real oldies, Rovers over 60s used their last set of fixtures to climb onto 2nd place with wins over Leyton Orient 2-0, Billericay Town 3-0 and Chelmsford City 1-0.

Beacon Hills Ladies Walking Football team represented the club today in our first Essex Womens Walking Football League taster tournament.

Hatfield Peveral U16 5 - 2 Beacon Hull U16
Tough start to the new season.

Hatfield looked more "at it" and got the win. Despite losing and not playing particularly well, there were still plenty of chances created throughout. On another day, some of those go in and the game is very different.
Zach, Fin and Callum with the goals.

Valley Green 0 - 2 Beacon Hill U14
Goals, a clean sheet and a victory - not much more you can ask for.

The U14s began life in the B&D league with a hard-fought victory. Being the first game of the season and with 5 new players, we opted to take everyone available. Despite the rotation and against a good side, we came in at half-time level and a bit frustrated.

We kept at it second half and got our reward late in the game. Callum Webb stooping low to nod home from a Ben Large cross. A few moments later it was two of the new signings to contribute to a goal. Archie Keeley raced down the left and into the box before being sent upwards, then sideways before hitting the ground. Fellow new signing Alfie Murphy fired an unstoppable penalty into the corner.

A good win and a sign of things to come.

Beacon Hill U11 4 - 3 Braintree Irons
U11's had a great 1st game to their 9 v 9 campaign. With both teams adjusting to the bigger everything... ball, pitch, goals and number of players, throw in offsides and no more retreat line and you get the line up for a interesting 60 minutes. However, with all the new challenges that faced them the U11 came from behind to beat Braintree Irons 4-3, a team that we have never beaten, but also one that have never beaten us - so it was always set to be a great game. Atmosphere on the pitch and during the post match hospitality was fantastic and has set the tone for a great season ahead.

Broomfield 1 - 4 Beacon Hill U10
Brilliant first game of the season. The boys did well to soak up the initial pressure on a pitch that had more sand on it than Clacton beach.

Sticking together they then played their way into game, opening goals from Simmance and a strike from the halfway line from O Heard set us on our way

Second half we rode our luck a bit but gritty defending and some brilliant saves from Harwood kept Broomfield down to only one goal conceded, couple of individual efforts by M Heard to win and score a penalty and Kiddier weaving his way into the box and slotting home, made for an excellent season opener to a team we lost to last season.
