Beacon Hill U15s 4 - 1 Heybridge Swifts
Satisfying win against our local friends!

A brilliant weekend for the lads, after yesterday’s great day out team bonding at the Boom Bar they followed it up with a superb result against Heybridge.
We know how Heybridge like to play, direct and physical, so we needed the boys to stand up to that and then once they got to grips with it start to play.
It was a fairly slow start to the match but then Callum struck home first time from the edge of the area to settle some nerves, Jake in goal pulled off a great save from a direct free kick right at the end of the half to preserve our 1-0 lead at the break.
It was a scrappy match really but once Freddie also struck home from outside the box to put us two up, we felt in control.
Heybridge did score from a quick breakaway but Fin soon replied to restore the two goal lead, credit to Ethan who capped an excellent display with a clever assist for Fin.
The best was saved for last with an outstanding team goal, built from the back, with sharp incisive moves down the right side resulting in Fin squaring across goal for Oscar to slide home and continue his impressive recent scoring streak.
When we’re “at it” like we have been these last couple of weeks the boys look a really good side, keep it going fellas, proud of you all today. ?

Upminster 2 -0 Beacon Hill U13s
Against a pretty big side, sitting second in the league, the boys were excellent. With only 11 fit, Zak Lakin once again stepped up to help out and ensure we could rotate.

The majority of the first half was played in the opposition’s half, with their keeper, and the crossbar, preventing us from getting our just reward. That said, late in the half Adam produced a string of awesome saves as we couldn’t seem to stop conceding corners.

An injury to Max early in the second half meant no one got a rest. With the opposition's ability to rotate 4 players at any moment, it's fair to say we ran out of steam and their strength and power finally told.

Special mention to Louie, James and Will who were brilliant at the back, implementing everything we worked on in training….oh and another mention to Adam because he was that good!
