Thirteen for the U8s
BHR Ladies 1-7 Bowers & Pitsea
Beacon Hill started strong with a early goal from Fleur Robinson who lobbed it over the keeper. Unfortunately the opposition resonded quickly with 2 goals in short succession. Beacon Hill battled on without letting their heads go but unfortunately the pace of Bowers forwards was just too much and they scored a further 2 goals before half time. Bowers put 3 goals away within 7 minutes of starting the second half. Beacon Hill switched on and gave them a competitive final half. Everyone battled extremely hard with alot of positives to take into next week's cup game.
Under 16’s lose without kicking a ball BHR U16s
An injury / Covid ravaged squad meant for the 1st time since under 6 they were unable to host their fixture
Galleywood elected to choose an away walkover rather than a rearrange the game so sporting
BHR U14s 1- 2 Buckhurst Hill
The U14's finally started their season. Despite losing late on the application and effort was spot on and deserved at least a draw. A well taken goal by the hard working Tooke had put us 1-0 up.
Performances like this every week will soon see us climbing the table.
Springfield 2 - 5 BHR U12s
A much better all round performance from the under 12’s this weekend doing the simple things really well and working hard all the the way to the final whistle. Goals from Ben Large(x2), Callum Webb and Freddie Steffani (x2) saw the visitors triumph against a strong Springfield side who pushed them all the way to the end. A well deserved victory today and some impressive football played at times.
BHR U11s 8 - 0 Ongar Really good performance from the team, great passing and attitude from everyone. Goals were shared across the team: Toby Pass (2), Bobby Pike, Maya Butcher, Miller Teasel, Zac Lakin, Connor McBride & Johnny Purdy. Solid performance from the defence and the first clean sheet of the season for Goalkeeper Riley Simmance. There were many nominations for Player of the Match, a special mention is merited for Maya Butcher with a goal and assist and some fantastic passing the day before her 11th birthday. Happy Birthday Maya
BHR U9s 2 - 1 Broomfield Lions A physical Broomfield side took the lead in the 1st half. After some great team play and passing Harrison Fordtree scored a superb equaiser, with the outside of his right foot on his debut match. The boys really put a shift in the 2nd half and Oscar Linton scored the winner from a well worked short corner with Lucas Bartlett.
Writtle Minors Yellows U8s 2 - 13 BHR U8's
Beacon Hill ran riot today in writtle, some excellent team goals in terms of passing and moving and a few individual efforts. Hat Trick each from Purdy and Pash, we rotated 4 different goalies and all 7 players scored
We also had a compliment from the Writtle Coach about our attitude and sportsmanship
Hawkwell Athletic U8 Girls 6 - 2 BHR Girls U8s
Today was Beacon Hill U8 girls second ever league game, and the girls did Beacon proud. Was a tough game with the other team having a whole new team to sub on halfway through both halves (with 10 players in total in their squad today). Though Beacon Hills 6 did their very best and tried hard and although we weren’t the winning team today there were lots of positives to take. We are scoring goals, two scored again by Rose today and we had three different goal keepers two of which had never played in goal before today! Levine with a particularly positive performance in and out of goal. Whittle also had lots of energy that was needed for a full game and was particularly stand out in defence.
A few things to work on and learn going into next - parents early nights are a must please and let’s swap the Oreo biscuits for oranges/bananas maybe at half time!!
BHR U7s v Coggeshall
A good win for the U7s against Coggeshall. 4 goals for Jacob Williams and a 1st goal for Ollie Derbridge capped off an attacking game. The boys really growing in confidence game by game
