Boys dig deep after Ipswich day

Beacon Hill Reserves 1 - 0 Rayleigh Town The Reserves won at home 1-0. A tight game decided by an excellent goal by Elliot Jennings. Beacon Hill A 5 - 7 Woodford Town Despite leading 2-0, injuries and ill-discipline saw the defeat come. Charlie Brewer did however net a hat trick, with the other goals coming from Matt Bruce and Sam Perkins. West Royal Alexandra 2 - 0 Beacon Hill Vets A break from league duties saw the Vets travel to Hornchurch to face their table-topping counterparts from Division 3 West Royal Alexandra. A fast start from the home side saw Beacon under early pressure which they weathered before missing some good chances before going in even at the break. The second half saw Beacon on the front foot creating many chances but unable to break the deadlock. A lapse in concentration saw the home side score 1st and was soon followed by a 2nd. An end to end game ensued as Beacon pushed to reduce the arrears but to no avail, only keeper Mark Pollard's incredible double save kept the score at 2.0. Back to league matters this week for the Vets. Beacon Hill U15's 1-5 Springfield Red

Under 15’s played Springfield Red for the third time in a month and will be glad that’s the last time for this season outplayed in all areas lost 5-1 Beacon Hill U13's 2-1 Blackmore

Big pitch and a big result! Making their debut on the first team pitch, the u13's recorded a vital win as they strive to move towards mid-table safety.

With tired bodies and minds from the Ipswich day, the decision to play on the bigger pitch appeared to be a mistake as they struggled to get to grips with the extra space. Blackmore took the lead late in the second half with a good strike from the edge of the box. But, Beacon dug deep and replied shortly after with Tooke converting in a manic 18-yard box scramble.

With a minute to go and the game heading for a stalemate, Beacon got the luck that has often deserted them this season as Webb's cross was deflected in by a visiting defender.

A victory built on very sound defensive foundations from the back 5 and keeper. Beacon Hill U11s 1 - 0 Brentwood Youth The U11s started the game superbly, passing the ball around confidently and dominating their opposition. Joe Hazell gave Beacon a deserved lead midway through the first half. But, the energy spent from the Ipswich day began to catch up with the boys. Missed opportunities and 4 injuries meant emotions began to run high and half-time was very much needed. A scrappy second half followed but Beacon stood firm, defending bravely, riding their luck at times to secure a clean sheet and the victory. Hannakins Farm Y U10 Blues 3 - 3 Beacon Hill U10s The U10s again played really well another good team performance!! Great performances from Riley Simmance & Zac Lakin too! Sweeper keeper (with 2 or 3 fantastic saves) & Zac the Hat-trick Hero with 3 lovely strikes from distance. A satisfying 3-3 draw. Heybridge 1 - 5 Beacon Hill U9s The U9s 5-1 won away at Heybridge. After a tight first half, Hill dug in and showed their class with a decisive second-half performance.
